The "hottest" 1972 'Vette was probably a ZR1, it's a track special after all. But I can't see it costing more in insurance than a big-block. You go into your insurance person in 1972 and say "454" you got a hefty monthly bill as opposed to saying "350". Strange sales advice. And Mr.70 you have a point - he saved $500 by not getting the ZR1 option (which he had planned to do anyway). Why not use the savings toward insurance?
