Just had to conclude this...that is, at least "conclude" for today;
Waited around until after 11:00--no sign of the crew. Called the scheduling guy, he said he'd call the crew to find out where they were and get right back to me. 11:30 he calls back, crew says they got hung up on another job and wouldn't be able to make it today. Scheduling guy apologizes, we agree to re-schedule for Saturday morning.
One full morning wasted.
3:00: I'm sitting here online looking for parts and hear trucks roll up outside. Take a peek out the window and there's a mini backhoe on a trailer getting ready to unload. I walk outside and ask them if they're here for this job, guy says yes. I informed him that I'd spoken to the scheduling guy and everything was now set for Saturday--<span style="font-style: italic">"Nobody said anything about that to me."</span>
Why does that not surprise me.
Crew takes a peek at the job, says <span style="font-style: italic">"It probably won't be us, we're not going to work Saturday"</span> and heads back to their trucks.
I've got an uneasy feeling about all this.
To summarize: Day pretty much wasted for me, and Rachel's none too amused (rightfully so). Not much of a Valentine's day for her either.
