Funny: I have to go through all this work often when I'm working on reproduction docs for people. Quite often I recommend then going NCRS or Chevy Muscle Docs to uncover their actual dealer. Unfortunately, every once in a while the dealer may show up with no zone and code, or more often the zone and code with no dealer. The other thing I have to check on, not because people ask but because I am a little anal about getting everything correct is the correct dealer information although they may have provided it. Dealers move around town, change names, etc.
Dan, I was looking into your question before but didn't know what year we were referencing, so I started a little project. You'll get bored with some of this but oh well, here's how the story goes. Howard Chevrolet was located in Canon City, Co at 731 Main Street at least in the mid 60's. He sold off the business to Davidson Lindner, Inc or Davidson Lindner Chevrolet located at the same address. This happened somewhere between late 65 through late 67 - 68. Davidson Lindner Chevrolet is zone 10 Dealer code 218 as you are looking for. Lindner Chevrolet still exists at 2805 Fremont Dr, Canon City, Co. I would have called the CO library today to see how far the Davidson Lindner name wen back but they are closed today and it no longer matters if you're looking at a 69-70 car.
