Default Re: Need dipstick attachment from BBC pan

Thanks. Another member offered to cut that part off a destroyed BBC pan. I had already welded this set up together.
Seeing that I welded this, I did warp the crap out of it. Think I got it straight enough to seal. Already installed the pan. If I have FUBAR'd it, I do have another pan, and may take one of you guys up on the offer. This engine is going in my 49 Studebaker farm truck, and it would be relatively easy to pull the pan if I need to. Hoping it doesn't leak. It is a 1972 block with LH dipstick provision, but the LH exhaust manifold I am using interferes with the LH dipstick, so I threaded and plugged the hole.

Need to pick up some brazing rod and flux just in case I need to do some lower temp metal repair.
