I was talking on the phone with Woj the other day, and the subject was brought up about finding stuff in these old cars that are, well, let's say, not exactly "required duty" items. Buildsheets (Broadcast sheets for us Mopar dudes ), data punch cards, tags, etc. Common stuff to find. But ever find anything neat? I have, and the funny thing is it was the same item from two different manufacturers! So, I'm aviating the globe with a fellow pilot, and he says, "Building a Roadrunner, huh?" And I say, "Yuh-huh." He says, "I have an old Dodge I bought in 1968." So I casually rebuttle, "MMmmmmmm...mmhhmmmmm.....hmmm" He replies, "Yeah, it's a Charger...an R/T." And in my best unexcited, unenthusiastic, dull, and mundane tone, respond with, "Ah..mmhmmm..mmhmmm....." He adds, "I have all the paperwork from when I ordered it, it's unrestored and sitting in my garage." Me, "(crickets sounding)" Him, "It's been sitting in my garage for 25yrs, and I'm looking for someone to restore it. Wanna do it for me? Dave...? " Me: "(Sound of heart monitor flat lining....) (cough, cough) AHEM!!! Oh, uh, excuse me. Yeah, sure, I'll takes a lookie at it, I guess....." So, long story short, I restored the car and while taking up the carpet, found this old Chrysler paper coffee cup under the carpet!

Of course, it's still stained with what appears to be (sniff sniff) Folger's Crystals. Pretty cool!
Then, while working on a 1951 Chevy truck, I pull the gastank, and what do I find? Another Coffee Cup!!!!!!
Pretty neat to find these things. So, what have you found? Oh, and under the back seat carpet on the Charger revealed a quarter dated 1968. Dan never had anyone in the back seat of that Charger, so I think that might have been there all along too!
Cheers
PS: Dan got the cup and the Broadcast sheet back, but Rick didn't want the coffee cup from the truck, so on the shelf it sits!
