If you go looking for a Z/28 oil pan and windage tray, just be sure you don't pay big bucks unless it is a real assembly line correct oil pan. GM made a replacement pan for many years (still available after 2000) that is not assembly line correct. I have seen uninformed buyers pay $500 and up for a pan that could be bought from the dealer for $100.
