Nothing magical as to why those T/A's are going for huge jack. As a prior poster noted, these were their dream cars growing up. Who cares about performance? The look alone is why these cars sold in huge numbers. Any car can go fast with internal work.
Cars like the 93, 96 & 2000 Cobra-R's will be the next to hit the $150,000 marker. Just like the 87 GNX's did before them.
