Nope, that was a nothing done, mostly all GM OEM parts (block, crank, rods, TRW "replacement standard bore" pistons, 840 heads, and even GM pushords for a few hits) that were reworked.

Funny you mention Nitrous. The car DID gave 2 plates on it from my buddy's tunnel rammed SB Vega. They were set to 150 each and was loaded ready to go. I had them flipped so one plate had Nitrous feed from the from, other plate feed from the rear. Thought that might cancel out the 2 plates. Never needed them on the street, and NOTHING ran with this car. We did a 351 Cleveland for another guy who went 10.70's on motor and 9.70's on a 125 hit. But since we did the motor, we never got a chance to run with it. When the track came to kick me out, I said "really, the cars not that fast. Something must have tripped the light. Let me make 1 more hit, if it's a 10 ANYTHING, I will leave no questions"? They said NO!! I was going to hit the Nitrous and run it out the back door IF the car ran and did not blow up.

FYI the 351 Cleveland, well 356 being .030 over was also MOST OEM Ford parts, 4V heads, OEM block and crank, SB Chevy 6" rod. We ran this motor in a B/D back in the early '90's. That motor with the tunnel ram ran 7.80's for 3+ years. We ended up building the same style motor with ome better parts, C302 B heads and sheetmetal intake. Set the B/D record with a 7.4?.
