Trans is <span style="font-style: italic">almost</span> in...trying to find that last .001" of wriggle room to get the input shaft to go into the pilot bushing...going to have my lovely assistant Rachel work the clutch while I try to get the trans wriggled the rest of the way home.
Four things to note so far:
1) This trans is HEAVY!
2) This trans is BIG!
3) It looks like the shifter is going to fit the factory opening pretty well.
4) I don't advise doing this solo with the car on jack stands unless you're a good bench presser.
