Re: NOS Dash Pad
The dash pads installed at the factory were produced from the molds when they were fairly new - so no bald spot. As the molds wore, the "grain" pattern wore out in that spot located opposite one of the injectors. So the later, NOS, over the counter replacement pads had the worn spot in them.
