My memory is as bad as yours. Yes, back in 93 or 94 it was piloted by a pro at one of the major SCCA events as my co-driver. If I recall correctly, the name Roger Johnson, maybe??? He had connections to BFG because he basically snapped his finders and new tires would appear, in a size that BFG didnt really make, yet.

This car was the first Viper to show up on any SCCA course as they were so new, no one was crazy enough to play with one...except me, I guess. At the time, the Vipers were not even classed by SCCA yet, so it was placed in the A-Street Prepared (ASP) class.
I let Randy Pobst drive the car at a SCCA SOLO II event in Florida in 1994. His first time behind the wheel, he beat my best time by a half a second. (a very large gap on a short autocross course)
I remember Randy signing off on my SCCA license. His comment was "He drives rather conservatively, shouldn't crash much." [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif[/img]
