Default Re: 488 mile COPO Camaro

A COPO ordered with ZJ7 would have received 14 x 7 Rally Wheels same as a Camaro SS. However the reproduction window sticker doesn't list the option [or the rear bumper guards]. Since it is a reproduction there is also no guarantee the car was built with 9511.

Walden's ZL1 [N620923] was virtually identical to this car. I have a copy of the invoice from Brooks Chevrolet Co. Across the bottom is written "R.L. Automotive Marietta GA paid 4/10/69." That puts into question the very dubious claim that Chevrolet gave him the cars. I have seen the paperwork for Bill Jenkins '69 Camaro PRO car; bought and paid for just like anyone else. Nobody, not even Don Yenko and Fred Gibb, received free race cars from Chevrolet.

The Mecum ad states that it is "One of only two produced in Dover White with a blue interior..." I have a window sticker copy for COPO N668741 which was Dover White with a blue interior. So that's three. No one knows how many COPOs were built in those colors.

The restoration seems to have overlooked the D96 fender striping, included with Z21.
