Yep, the entry level "custom" wheel in the '60s was the chrome steel wheel and chrome/reversed. Mags were always expensive, even the cheap ones. Whitewalls added "class" to the car until redlines, goldlines and bluelines came along and then lettered tires became cool in the later '60s. The chrome steelie with a thin whitewall is the original classy Day 2 wheel.
