I just wanted to share this. A long time friend who raced a '63 409 car and worked at Penske Chevrolet in the '60s needed to sell the contents of a couple garages. I knew he had a SUN engine analyzer cabinet that I needed for my top unit, so off I went. The cabinet is still in the truck until I can find a strong helping hand to unload it, but it's in pretty good shape and has a Penski sticker on it (it was used in the dealership). Photos will follow after it's unloaded and cleaned up a bit. One of the extra items was this side mounted box with the specification sheets for most everything '65-'70.
It has a lid with a tension spring to hold the chart needed during the tune-up. There are lots of them, so if anyone is interested in a particular model/engine sheet, let me know and I'll copy it and send it to you (no charge). ---Except for Cumby---the LS-6 sheet will cost him dearly.........
I was also able to get a cabinet of carb parts. Mostly AFB, Rochester Q-Jet and maybe some 2bbl stuff. I think this came out of Penske as well by all the part number tags in the drawers. (NO Holley THANK GOD)
This banner was also there, which seems fitting to hang up over the tune-up station in the shop
I couldn't pass these up. They are used and could use a little cleaning, but I like them for display. I'd like to know the vintage of the USA plate if anyone knows....
I brought home a bunch more stuff but this last item really tickles me. It was his helmet back when he raced his 409, and it just happens to match the steering wheel in the car I'll be driving when I wear it

It has about the same patina as the car, and it's in MUCH better condition than the owner......
I'm not trying to sneak an ad on here. Nothing is for sale. I just wanted to share my good day.
