Re: ? for the Scottsdale car show veterans....
I was there last year and will be back. It was -15º here in WI and 75º in AZ at the time. My snowbird buds tell me that even for AZ that was unusually warm. So don't count on the same weather.
We went to Pavillions and were blown away. Regulars said there were about 900 cars there. I did a rough estimate based on spots x aisles and it could be true. Like most cruise nites they do not allow for sale signs. Many cars I looked at had sale info discreetly placed inside.
We also did Russo-Steele. Unlike B-J general admission does not get you into the auction tent; bidders only. But it really doesn't matter as cars are in line for some time. R-S also has lousy food & drink availability. It is really dry out there. You have to buy a drink "ticket" for $5 I believe then go to the bar where it is good for anything-even a Coke. At B-J there is plenty of resonably priced food & drink. B-J is far bigger and has more vendors & displays. There is another auction that weekend at the AZ Biltmore but it appears to be cats & dogs; few if any musclecars.
It was a great time-can't wait!
