Back in the early 70's you needed those or at least one exhaust pipe or tail pipe. 11.60's could be done with mostly stock parts and a good gear ratio. You could darn near drive an early 70's style stock eliminator car on the street but not today. The E/Stockers of today are running well into the 10.70's. An average Z/28 back then with some good tuning and headers, tires and a 5:13 gear would run 12 flats all day. That sounds like a real nostalgic TRUE stock eliminator car from old days. Any pictures?
