The sound deadener looks is original and looks like its stuck pretty good. I'm just going to cut out the bad jute and look to replace the carpet next summer, I live north of Chicago in Kwhizz territory so the weather is going fast. I was thinking along the same lines of cleaning over the deadener real good unless it was delaminated.
Thanks for the second opinion, i was not sure if the deadener would suck up the coolant.
