My Oshawa Ontario built 68 SS396 Chevelle is a 325hp, with column shift powerglide & 3:08 non posi 12 bolt. Built during first week of production, with VIN# less than 60. Not a 69 as being discussed...

And great info on the change out. Motor is presently out of the car having just been rebuilt, so I guess I will be changing out the throttle arm before it's installation.

Yes, some cool and unusual options for sure. Both the block heater and visor mirror are still present. The block heater cord still retains all the factory routing clips also.
