I did not know about the tach error being factory...

I did not know about the tach error being factory from KC until reading this thread, and neither did the judges at that time. I had the dash out to replace the side vents and the gauge cluster...

A guy up in Encinitas has a '69 L78 with 52k miles, with less than 2k on the rebuild. It's black, black bench, auto on the column, Protect-O-Plate, matching #s on the block, not sure about the trans...
