Jeff Helms needs to chime in on this...he has told me the story of the one Z16 convert, but all I remember for sure is that it was destroyed. And it may in fact have been beige....

I see this all the time, a lifted truck with huge tires, usually a contractor, with a similar drop hitch pulling a 24' trailer. Apparently oblivious to what that leverage is doing to their trucks...

For use with a some later engine than a flathead V8 though, as the flatty had separate water pumps for each bank and the rad had two upper and two lower outlets/inlets.

In the mid-late '60's one of the quicker stock/un-modified cars in town was a '66 Catalina 2plus2 tri-carb 421 (376hp IIRC?) 4 speed with 3.73. It would hook up and be gone!:3gears:

A friend bought a new '72 GP, nothing special...

A friend bought a new '72 GP, nothing special engine wise, but it was triple black, with RED carpet! I thought that was cool!
