Possible cause

I saw a comment on FB that one of the latches didn’t release when putting it down. Don’t quote me on this. Does this sound possible?

When i sold this car in 1998 it had the original B E rear end and the original motor it had 41or 42 thousand miles on it .

Looked at it today and heard it run. Motor sounded like it had a couple of wires off or valve lash too tight. Had to rev it to keep it running. Body work was on a scale of 1-10 was a 5. Pot metal...
