Paul - After many experiences w/repro vendors...expecting them to accurately describe ANYTHING is a waste of your time. They are the LAST folks I would rely on....I think they've gotten even worse...

Olds and Buick typically used the vinyl covered rear armrest panels like you show Paul. Post cars don't use these. Chevelles got the plastic version. I'm talking '69-72. Not sure on Pontiacs.

I have one of those but it's part of a primo "EA" master cylinder core setup. Have another original GM cap in this style but the writing/stamping on it is different. Maybe a earlier or later...

I restore a lot of alternators......Olds, Buick and some Chevy for the most part. Quite a variety of head markings on the '60's/70's alts. Pic shows some of them I have.

Chevy alternator bracket piece

Here is a very nice original Chevy alternator bracket/support "tube" piece. Wasn't rusty, etc and I beadblasted it and sprayed it w/a couple thin coats of catalyzed black epoxy primer.

$14 +...
