yes i have checked with a mirror,i also had same idea.and no it doesn't make much sense to spilce a non match vin

the production #LOS130592 ON TRIM TAG, pad on block VO926DZ,by oil filter is just what is there the correct vin matching to car doc's and dash.LA plant oct. vin's #'s starting 1st of month are...

David, yes vin on cowl is diff than the other vins.

I have a 69 10A-68 LA gold, brown top, white deluxe int., and a matching number drivetrain. I have a POP, sales agreement, court doc(ticket for loud exhaust),that was factory chambered, pay off...
