Radio block off plate 68-72 Nova
I have seen a couple of different styles of radio delete plates on the 1968 thru 1972 Novas recently. I remember I used to get them up north from wrecking yards for 1968 thru 1970 Novas that looked like the 1969 Camaro radio delete plates. PG&E used to buy fleets of these cars for their meeter readers and they were strippers with no radios. But now I have seen several cars with no provisions for a radio at all and Nova in raised letters across that area. Is there a right one for all Novas or could it have been different based off of some option if the dealer was going to install the radio? Mark Sheppard

Re: Radio block off plate 68-72 Nova
If it came from the factory, they most likely had the bezel with the radio area molded completely closed. 69-72 said "Nova" in that area.
If it had a block-off plate, like for a fleet, it's possible the radio might have been removed by a dealer or something like that. |

The one we have in our 69 is molded into the bezel and does say nova in the radio area.
