1973 Trans AM

Does anyone have underhood pictures of a 1973 Trans AM. I have a buddy restoring one and wants some correct underhood pics. Its a 455 car, but not a S/D. Thanks

All 73's had 455's in them.

Is 1973 different than 1974? My cousin, who lives right down the street from me, has a '74 and I could take pictures of his if that would help. Although it is a Super Duty. Is underneath a SD hood different than a standard 455? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: 1973 Trans AM

Under the hood, the 74 would be closer to the 73 than a 70 to 72 car would be. This is because the 73 was the first year for those big flat steel fender to radiator support braces which also meant they had different radiator supports and fenders than a 70 to 72 car.
