Correct Color for Blower Motor and Cover?

Is the blower motor & cover on a 1970 Chevelle gloss black or semi-gloss?
Thanks! John

They should both be semi-gloss, but the real well done restorations I've seen had the cover/motor, slightly glossier than the fire wall.

Here is a shot prior to blower motor installation but it will show the difference in gloss lever between the firewall and heater box. Though they look zinc in this photo, the speed nuts should be black oxide.

Note on Leed's cars, there is a layer of undercoating sprayed just above the heater box. This is a Baltimore car and therefore does not have it.

John,
the registry is coming along great though I have had very little time lately to work with it due to the restoration business now being full time. Lots of newly discovered cars, friends and many new people joining the hobby through the registry.
