Coil spring compressor

Need a spring compressor for changing the front coils. Any recommendations on brand? Thanks in advance.

Buy the best one you can get....no Taiwan specials!! I bought a professional grade one from my local Napa store....also don't ever use an impact wrench for compressing the spring...only a ratchet/breaker bar. The compressed spring is like holding a hand grenade https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/shocked.gif you need to be careful. Some guys attach a small chain to the spring/frame for removal, in case it jumps out.

good luck...wilma
