TCS Switch

Here's the TCS switch for the trans sidecover, a bit pricey though starting out at $500! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/shocked.gif

Anyone know if this one is still available from GM? #3961567.

Still showing available, 3961567 dealer cost $6.92 wholesale $9.12 and list at $12.14. The new switches aren't cosmetically exactly like the original assembly line part but I guess that would depend on how fussy you want to be.

Good to know. I found an old NOS one when I did my resto, I think I paid about $10 for it. I don't the old versions are worth the $500 yet, are they?

Re: TCS Switch

You might try using part number 3996286 to search for the earlier style. They sure aren't worth $500, but tough to find NOS.

Re: TCS Switch

Rick,
The 286 switch you show is harder to find as it is discontinued. The only problem is it is a later model year application. Yours is a spade type switch while the 567 is a pin type. 1970-71 use the pin type and some 71 and all 72 models use the spade. You would need to modify the harness to use the 286 switch on a 70-71 car.

Re: TCS Switch

Chris is correct, the '70 Deuces indeed use the pin type switch.

Anyone know the part number of the side cover that holds this switch?

Marlin,

I'm looking for one of those for my '71 LS6 Corvette. Let me know if you would like to sell it. Thanks.
