ESSEX CARS??????

Does anybody know anything about cars made by the Essex Co. that was near or in Detroit, Michigan. My cousin lives in Ontario Canada and was out hunting last week and stumbled upon an old barn that was falling down. He stated that there were several old cars inside this barn, one being an old Essex. He said he knows these were sold in Canada. Are these cars worth anything or the parts for them??? He was wondering and called me becuase he knows I am a car guy.... He was uncertain what year the car was but said it was definately old vintage.. I told him I have never heard of this automobile before..

Thanks Rich.....

What body style is the car?.
Is it original or modified?.
I've known of a few over the years and they seem to fall into the same boat as cars like the Billy Durant produced Canadian 'Star' automobiles w/ few being restored to originals...so if a coupe always seem to be worth most to the rod guys?.
There's a local lad I know that has an original coupe...if you need I can ask him where he feels values are as I see him every few weeks?.
