69 L78 camaro tires.
 

I know I have seen this discussion before but never saw a definative answer. I have a 69 L78 pacer, 05A build, which Goodyear tire is the right tire for this car. I am buying a set but want to buy the right ones for the car. There seems to be some with Wide tread, some with Polyglass, etc. etc. Can I get an answer about this or some options that are correct.

Goodyear Widetread F70-14....Not Polyglas and not Widetread GT. Raised white letter Widetread.

Could the Uniroyal Tiger Paw have also come on a 69 Pace car as well?

As with any 69 that was specified with F70x14 RWL, I would think the Uni or Firestone (Wide Oval in small letters) was supplied at random along with the Wide Tread.

The Goodyear Wide Tread as described by Charley is your only option to buy as a repro.

I believe the rear of the tire had "Speedway Special" on it.

The repro wide tread is not technically correct for a 69. The lettering is different on the repro than on the original tires. But they are all that is available that even comes close.
