69 big block shifter rods

Did all Camaro big block shifter rods come with a partial part number stamped into them?

I'm looking for an original set for my car. I have seen ones with and without numbers.

the only one on my shifter with a part number is 5779 and it's the reverse.

Having 1 with the # out of 3 is not bad, I saw two rods (with #'s) sell on ebay that was missing the reverse rod.

I believe so. The 4speed Yenko Deuce Novas have BB shifter rods - but a SB shifter/attaching plate - but a BB crossmember.... we don't know why. Anyway, those cars with their original shifter arms have a 4 digit number stamped into them, 5775, 5776, 5777, & 5779.

Re: 69 big block shifter rods

Thanks for the info I guess they must of been changed at one time, but to keep the reverse rod in there puzzles me.I know these are tough to find. Has anyone bought the US repos from heartbeat city? I'm just about to that point of sending my shifter parts out to be replated. Does anyone know if the big block bracket was cad plated or phosphate plated?
