Isn't that the rect. port with the offset..it came before the Tarantula..??

I'll chime in on this one also. The C427X does NOT have the offset carb. It is a dual plane configuration with the plenum notched out. Basically it is Edelbrocks' version or the Chevrolet L-88 intake manifold. The Tarantula or TM2R is the one with the canted carb to correct the BBC's handicap of 4 good intake ports and 4 bad intake ports.
