1972 Z28 Rear Spolier Question
I was looking at this e-bay auction and noticed that this Camaro does not have a rear spoiler. It is mentioned that the car still retains its original paint. Could this be the way that it came out of the factory? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Yep, that was possible.

Re: 1972 Z28 Rear Spolier Question
That is correct. The D-80 spoiler option was no longer standard equipment with the Z28 package starting in 72.
I also looked at this auction, and the car appears to be a solid starter project. I do think that a starting bid of $15k is a bit on the high side for a car that needs a complete resto. Even though I have a 72Z, I must admit that they haven't yet reached the price levels of the 70's & 71's..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif |
Re: 1972 Z28 Rear Spolier Question
I had a 72 Z28 that was a no spoiler and no stripe car. I miss that car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif

Re: 1972 Z28 Rear Spolier Question
Very interesting. I thought the 'no stripes, no spoilers' thing started in 73.....wasn't aware it was that way in 72.
