SHP 6-lug converter question
Hi!
Can anyone tell me what an "E" stamping on a 6-lug converter signifies? I had read here that a "C" or "D" were SHP. Is the "E" version a truck appl., or SHP? Lastly, I recently saw a document that indicated that the angle of the outer fin-like elements on the perimeter of a converter tell you the application. Any validity to that? Steve |

Curious about the stamping myself.

Re: SHP 6-lug converter question
If you look at the picture we posted of the original 6-lug converter from the 69 Dana Nova CX it has the stamping E7 on it. Its the real deal..BKH

Re: SHP 6-lug converter question
I can take a look at the converter from my 70 Z-28. As far as I know, it has never been out. I will post some pics tonight. Where is the stamp located?

Re: SHP 6-lug converter question
This is the only stamp I see on the outside. There may be one on the inside next to the front pump.
