shifter ball help needed
What were these shifter balls originally outfitted on and how much are they worth (roughly)?
Thanks. -Dan http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...hifterball.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ifterball1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ifterball2.jpg |

What are the thread sizes?

Re: shifter ball help needed
Good question... I'm not too keen on the thread sizes... what is the best way to determine them?
A bolt came with the white one... coarse thread... thats about the best I can do... |
Re: shifter ball help needed
Easiest way is to take them to Home Depot and start trying different bolts to determine the thread size.

Re: shifter ball help needed
They are the older versions. The 2 piece style with the seam. They are worth more but not sure how much more. A question for GTO-DON

Re: shifter ball help needed
As I recall they both came in coarse and fine threads. (3/8 - 5/16 ) Seems like the Black ones are more rare now.
I've seen them sell from $40 to over $75 each. Those look to be in nice shape. GTO Don or the Barr Bros would be my go-to guys for a better 'appraisal'. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

The white one looks similar to this, but the font is slightly different:

Re: shifter ball help needed
The GM knobs are a different story. That looks like early Corvette stuff.
I'm guessing the one's Dan has are Hurst issue. |
