Is this Year One piece a correct replacement for a 69 L78 or is it just a 502 intake?

I had one of those on crate LS7 that was dated 1989. They are not exactly like the originals from 1968-69.

On these the Winters snowflake is done differently and in a different place than on the early intakes; easy to spot a late one from an early one. You often find these NOS on ebay for around $250 (NOS or crate motor takeoffs), you also find them advertised as originals by sellers who don't know the difference or maybe they do.
