Engine code decal - 1970 L78
Does anyone know whether in the case of a 1970 L78 with automatic in a Nova Tonawanda affixed a "CTY" yellow engine sticker at the rear of the passenger side valve cover. If so does anyone reproduce the sticker. Thanks Bob https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

Re: Engine code decal - 1970 L78
There weren't any engine code labels/stickers on the BB Nova valve covers....I believe that was a Camaro thing https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif have seen it done though by those with artistic license...

Re: Engine code decal - 1970 L78
Tom,
Thanks for confirming what i thought. I have the original valve covers on my 1970 L78 auto, with no evidence of a sticker ever being on them, yet see a lot of restos done with the decal. |

I've yet to see an unmolested 1970 L78 Chevelle with one either,be it CTY or CKO.

Dean,is your 1970 an early build date car with a mechanical linkage and a kickdown switch at the carburator? Would like to know how to hookup the wiring on the kickdown switch https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif <font color="#666666"> </font> Bob
