Oxnard Chevy Dealer
I got an email from a guy that has a Black 68 L-79 Nova that was bought in Oxnard CA. Does anybody know what Chevy dealer was there at that time or if they are still in business?

Hal Watkins Chevrolet was in Oxnard Ca. [/ QUOTE ]My Dad worked there in the late 60's/early 70's. He said they sold an aluminum headed Chevelle new,and that the engine was stolen out of it the same week the owner brought it home. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif |

Do you think your Dad would remember this 68 327 Nova? It would have been Black with a 4 speed. Not your normal nova. |
Re: Oxnard Chevy Dealer
I'll give him a call. Edit:
He started working there in August of 1970. He said the sales manager at the time the Nova was sold would have been Jack Arnold. Sorry I couldn't get more info. On a side note I vividly remember his demo in 1973/74 (I was around 6 years old) It was a red/white top S3 Laguna 454/4 speed. That thing was NICE. |
Re: Oxnard Chevy Dealer
There are also a few Courtesy Chevrolets near by.

As far as I know it is. I do not live in that area anymore but it was there last time I was down that way.

Re: Oxnard Chevy Dealer
I think Courtesy was in Ventura and Thousand Oaks. Very close by.
