heater hoses

I'm just about done with the '58 Fuelie Vette I've been working on for the last month. The heater core was bypassed when I get the car although a new heater core was installed. I'm having trouble installing the new, reproduction heater hoses. Is there is a trick-of-the-trade I should try or know about?

The heater hose in-let to the water pump is the unit I'm having most specific problems with. I've tried grease and even heat. No luck,

Thanks!

If you can spare losing a bit of length, sometimes you can cut the end on an angle creating a larger opening and work it on...then recut it straight after. .

Any chance the adapter in the pump is the wrong hose size?

Yes. That is what happened. Our Corvette part supplier has sent us more wrong parts than I could ever imagine. I guess the typical zero-error business standard does not apply to Corvette parts https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smirk.gif
