Need to know the casting P/N and date on the back of the block. Looks like it is a truck engine built in Tonawanda NY on July 25th 19??.

That's an LS-4.
Depending on the blocks casting date,either 1973 454/240Hp or 1974 454/245Hp for TRUCK applications.

If the last 3 nbrs on the casting are 289 they make great builder motors. Thick wall casting can go 125 over bore.
Money wise, no real collector value. Just good iron. 350-500 maybe.

the block been destressed ,has no cast numbers or date code
these #'S i found above the timing cover small curved tab.this block is for sale ,$500 has cam bearings 440 bore THIS IS HIGH NICKEL CONTENT BLOCK ,so anyone interested can contact me @ [email protected]
