How to clean interior parts

What is the best way to clean interior parts? I am getting ready to redo the interior on my '69 Corvette and I want to clean the parts that are not going to be replaced.
I tried to scrub them with some Simple Green and a brush; I also tried some Fantastic with a brush and nothing seemed to tough any of the dirt that was captured in the grain of the vinyl.

Do you guys have any special solvents or tricks that might help me clean these parts?

I've found Castrol "Super Clean" to be one of the most agressive cleaners. be sure to rinse the area well (wipe with damp cloth) after using. And wear gloves!

goog luck, BCD.

I've found that the aerosol Windex does wonders... it lifts dirt that the pump bottle version will just not even come close to dislodging.
