69 Z28 Upper Rad Hose... comments?

Here is a picture of the 69 upper radiator hose logo I made... just a prototype... I actually hand cut the stencil with an exacto knife. Not perfect but ok none the less.
I am going to have a stamp made so it will be as authentic as possible.

I identified 3 different stampings used... I thought that this one showed the best so it is the one I used.

Next up the lower hose then 67-68 Z28 upper hose... I already have the research done for these...

Close up... I aged it a little because it did not fit in with the rest of the car. The part number was extremely difficult to cut with an exacto knife... the lines are only about 1/32" of an inch wide. Either the rubber stamp or having the stencil cut with a plotter on vinyl at a sign shop will cure my lack of patience and jitters.

I think it looks very nice. It is about time that someone does a little research and offers correct reproduction parts. The ultimate would have this stamp on an original "Alligator skin" hose. You don't find those very often.

I wonder if the texture could be duplicated in a newly made hose?

James, that looks wonderful. What brand hose did you use? Have you made a stencil for the lower hose?

It is the (and I use this term loosely) "Reproduction" hose available from Ricks... I used laquer thinner to remove the old markings.

I have not finished the lower one yet, the current motor will be coming out of the Black Z in a month or two and the rebuilt correctly dated non-vin stamped DZ will be going in, then maybe I will find the time to do the lower hose.

Good news https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif I heard from GM licensing and I am going through the process... I will be doing upper and lowers for SB and BB 67-69 Camaro's to begin with. COPO's included. Next will be 70-73 SB uppers and lowers. I have the research done for all of the above listed hoses and will be submitting the Part#'s to the licensing company.
It has taken some time to get all this in the works and to all who have helped along the way I apologize for the delay. (I wont make excuses as they only make the person saying them feel better) Thanks also to JohnZ for the contact at GM licensing.

The lower stamp with the UY is 67-68 Z28 and it was created using photos from a 67 Z survivor.
I will let everyone know when everything is finalized.

I am starting with the above listed hoses then going to the A bodies.
I am filling out paperwork and submitting part#'s. so if you have a part # in mind please PM or email them to me with the PN in the subject line so I can submit them and get them cleared with licensing.

Thanks
James
