1969 Beaumont & Canadian Document Info

Just received the GM of Canada info on my 69 Beaumont and said i would post a run down on it for those that asked.

It's a odd one.
It's one of 4,177
It's one of 174 for export from Canada.
Production date - March6,1969.
Shipping date - March 10, 1969 to Puerto Rico.

1969 Pontiac Beaumont Custom.
Trim: 787 = MEDIUM RED ( NOT RECOMENDED WITH PAINT CODE)
PAINT 40 = MAYFAIR MAIZE ( Butternut yellow - US )
Top 2E = Parchment.
ENGINE 307 CID 200HP 2brl Astro Flash V8.

OPTIONS:
Glass - Tinted - all windows.
Exterior top trim.
AirConditioning manual control.
HD Front & rear Suspenssion.
2spd Powerglide trans.
Power steering.
Wheel trim cover.
HD battery.
Export prep.
Tire pressure label.

theres about 30 pages of misc option and build info for all 69 models to go through but thats the basics on this car.

Im the 2nd owner and its is all correct .
It doesnt say if there were any others with this specific trim & Paint combo but i would be willing to bet that there isnt!

OPEN QUESTION :

Would you keep this car Butternut yellow with a white painted top and Red interior , OR CHANGE IT ?

The only thing I would even consider changing on that car is the Oil.
Leave it alone. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Those cars are cool. The front end looks custom. Definitely a car that you need to look at twice!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

If you don't keep that combo, you should be shot.

It's not too bad, really - it's not like green or blue as a combo. I've seen a 442 in that combo that was in Cars magazine. Car was modified by Motion Performance too!

Were these Beaumonts exported to South Africa, or were those cars their own thing?

The thing I would consider changing is the ownership. Leave it right on the trailer and I'll come get it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Leave the car as it is. What a great find. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Very cool and unusual combination which I wouldn't change at all. Being odd is what this one is all about. To me,
altering the interior(or paint for that matter)to conform to a more typically ordered car doesn't make sense.

Sounds like it shold stay the way it is huh .

I know its a odd car and although its not a SD or peformance model i think its still a fairly rare car.

The only thing i tought about was changing the Yellow to Cordovan Maroon .
Maybe i'll just leave it the way it is !

Besides , i have enough to do at this time to do another project.

Thanks for the input!

That car really is a unique piece of history, and although it's cash value is alot lesser then a ZL-1 camaro,it needs to be left alone to show what really was. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Yes, please do not change the color!

I have seen one Beaumont in Ohio by Mansfield. And a few in the Detroit area. They are out there in America.
