I rented Cayuga drag strip with some buddies and this is what happend with my old school vette
best pass was 8.93 at 145.8 mph and the best short time was 1.18

on labour day holiday monday

9.02 at 143 mph 1.18 short
9.03 at 144 mph 1.18 short
small fuel leanout adjustment
8.95 at 145 mph 1.19 short
8.93 at 145.8 mph 1.19 short
shifting at 6000 rpm

track conditions had to be the very best I have seen.

we went again on the weekend and the air was cold with a strong head wind and made some small changes and was able to squeeze an 8.89 at 146.7 mph and 1.18 60 foot time shifting a little higher,,,,,,,,,,,

Re: 8.95 at the drags

Thanks Steve...

I had a blast with this race car all season pass after pass doing nothing but put gas in it and check the rear tire pressure and go...

The car drove so nice I drove it with one hand and the chassis was setup so nice on the jig ( day 1 )we didn't change one thing, we played with the motor a bit but that old Kinsler mechanical set up is tempermental to humidity and the air fuel conditions.
Any way we got a best of 8.8 at 146.8 mph and a 1.17 short time.... we pulled the engine and trans out to go through it and put a bigger cam and freshen it and the trans up.
