Re: LS6 Cam Shaft #3904366
I have a cam that came out of an over the counter LS6. '71 or '72 vintage as best I can recall. It was replaced with an aftermarket cam before it was installed and this cam was never run. It still has the factory paint marks on it. The only casting number I see on it is 4366. Could this be what you are looking for? It doesn't have the whole 3904366 number on it.

Re: LS6 Cam Shaft #3904366
I think it is the one I'm looking for, My parts book also shows this # for 1971 Is there a casting symbol on the cam OMO

Re: LS6 Cam Shaft #3904366
There is a OMO next to the fuel pump eccentric. The O's are solid. More like dimples than O's, but I can see why they are referred to as O's.

Re: LS6 Cam Shaft #3904366
I just traded 2 NOS 3863143 camshafts for the correct original LS-6 camshaft, 3904362. Was still in the original container, it is stamped 3904362 and nothing else on the end, with the original paint marks. Camshaft was purchased by parts manager person in 1976. |
Re: LS6 Cam Shaft #3904366
What is the difference between the 143 L-78 Cam and the 362 LS-6 Cam? I thought they had basically the same lift and duration?
