GM switch #3959115, ID please

Can one of you guys identify a switch I got with some other parts recently. The part number on the box is 3959115, Gr. 3.415, Switch. It kind of looks like a brake light switch, with a threaded end, the other side has two electrical terminals that are perpindicular to each other.
Thanks,
Rick

That's the air control detent switch used on the 1969 Camaro when equipped w/ZL-2 Cowl Induction hood.It mounts onto the accelerator lever,in the engine compartment.
Not used on the 1970-72 Chevelles w/ZL-2 hood.

Thanks for the fast ID. Do you have a book with the part numbers? Is there something I can buy to help identify other old GM parts?

That switch stands out in my head,as most all the parts suppliers today incorrectly advertise it as BOTH Camaro & Chevelle w/ZL-2 hood, even though it was only used on the 69 Camaro w/ZL-2 hood.
The early printed parts books were erroneous in including it for the Chevelle, then revised their later editions & Ass. Manual to exclude the Chevelle, yet the parts suppliers are reluctant to recognize this today.
The Chevelle ZL-2 hood included a Vacuum operated exterior door as well,so it used a diaphragm check valve #6440776,instead of this electrical switch.
