Underhood paint tips.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to coat an aluminum intake or alternator with to prevent corrosion? Was gonna try clear engine paint or eastwood aluma blast. How about header paints or coatings? Anyone have any suggestions on specific types? Thank You!

Alumina-Blast looks flawless over freshly blasted Aluminum. Looks fair over un-blasted aluminum.

One thing for sure, don't use the Eastwood Diamond Clear Satin (even though there is a picture of an aluminum intake on the can....).

Sprayed my W30 intake and it never looked that nice after drying, and the center ports turned a lovely shade of brown within ten minutes of starting engine. I tried to search for something else, decided to go au-naturale and try to keep it clean. I wasn't going to risk it happening all over again.

Good luck, any paint you use, will look like paint.
