AC Spark Plug Application Chart
I pride myself on being able to find just about anything on the internet, but this one has beaten me. Does anyone know a site that has an application chart for AC spark plugs? I purchased a lot of NOS plugs and would sure like to know what they fit. 43, 45, 45XL, R83CT, C86, R45XLS, R45XLS, 85TS, R43XL and many others. I need a chart that will let me enter the plug number and tell me what engines it fits. Thanks, Larry

Re: AC Spark Plug Application Chart
Sam, I don't think I have any 44S plugs, but I am at work and the plugs are at home. I will check when I get home and let you know if I have any. Thanks, Larry

Re: AC Spark Plug Application Chart
Larry,
What stripe pattern are on the plugs you have? 3 or 4 green bands, etc? Thanks, Rick |
Re: AC Spark Plug Application Chart
They all have 3 thin green stripes and 1 wider green stripe.
Thanks, Larry |
Re: AC Spark Plug Application Chart
I do have some 44TS, in two sizes, what seems to be a common size and one that is a little shorter

Re: AC Spark Plug Application Chart
Thanks Larues. The stripes among other things denote
year(s) of manufacturing. I don't have a clue what years used what stripes but know the late 60's early 70's used the 4 narrow green stripes from what I have been able to find out and they are VERY hard to come by. Rick |

Re: AC Spark Plug Application Chart
So many Vehicles used those spark plug sizes you listed, that it would be easier to list the ones that didn't use them.
The AC three narrow green ring and one wider top ring spark plug design was first released in 1972,and continued to be used for years after. |
Re: AC Spark Plug Application Chart
