Great pictures. I was there last year. Did the cops stop traffic when they left and let them do burnouts on the street again? Coolest thing I have every witnessed. By the end of the session last year, the motor cop stopping traffic was covered in burnt rubber.
The only gripe I have with the whole event is very few of the actual racers are driving to Race Rock anymore. They all trailer to the nearby parking lots. I say make em cruise 30 miles then run what you brung. That is true streetcar finals. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
Great event nevertheless, and the radial class is getting crazy fast, amazing....

The cops were handing out cards to all the drivers that said,"NO BURNOUTS".
All the guys were disappointed but a few still got on it.
They got ticketed but didn't care - crowd was booing - cops didn't care either.

I don't know why they cut it this year, the story I heard was,
2 cops got shot that week &amp; they were getting down on everyone.

The same thing happened up in NY when I was street racing there.
Cops wouldn't take any crap, I saw a few people wise off &amp; get a beating for it.
We learned, give it time, it will mellow.
