I received this email alert from Joel today, so take note:

To whom it may concern. This person, (email below), who is an Ebay seller is claiming to have all the records for all the Motion cars, which were purchased at an auction at Motion IN 1990. Believe me, there never was an auction of any records at Motion or any other parts etc., and I don't even have all the records, as I tell everyone who wants a car verified, and neither does anyone else.
MY ADVICE IS TO PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU ARE CONTACTED BY HIM, as one of the people trying to verify a Motion car recently was. This person contacted me and made me aware that he was contacted by this person.

Makes me glad to see someone trying to stop these assholes from corrupting the true cars out there.

WE SHOULD DISCUSS THINGS LIKE THE AUCTION YOU ARE CLAIMING WE HAD (WHICH NEVER HAPPENED) AND ANY OTHER INACCURACIES THAT NEED TO BE CLEARED UP OR I WILL BE FORCED TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST YOU.
YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE ALL THE RECORDS OF OUR CARS AND THAT IS AN IMPOSSIBILITY. SO EITHER WE DISCUSS IT LIKE GENTLEMAN NOW OR YOU CAN WAIT UNTIL WE'RE IN COURT, WHICH IS GOING TO COST YOU A BUNDLE OF MONEY. IN ADDITION TO THAT I WILL NOTIFY EBAY AND GET YOU BLOWN OFF THAT FOR SOLICITING BUSINESS OFF THE EBAY SITE.
FURTHER I WILL TAKE FEDERAL ACTION WITH THE POSTAL AUTHORITIES FOR WIRE FRAUD.
IT SHOULD BE AN INTERESTING EXPERIENCE FOR YOU.

This seller said he was contacted by some guy with "all the records" then the price went up.... Then mysteriously the price came back down and the info about the guy with "all the records" went away..

A little more googling turns up a dude called Jon, lives in Haysville KS (small town just south of Wichita off I-35), just moved down from Illinois to marry his gal, longtime demolition derby driver, buys and sells salvage cars and parts, spiky hair and glasses. Seems like a decent guy from what I've seen.
